LoveSetMatch Announces Partnership with UTR Sports to Expand Competitive Opportunities for Youth and Adult Tennis Players Across Los Angeles County

Los Angeles, California — LoveSetMatch is proud to announce a new partnership with UTR Sports, creating exciting competitive opportunities for youth and adult tennis players throughout Los Angeles County through UTR-sanctioned tournaments, match play events, and official player ratings.
Through this partnership, LoveSetMatch participants will now have access to the world’s leading tennis rating system, allowing players of all ages and skill levels to track their development, compete in meaningful matches, and establish verified UTR Ratings recognized throughout the tennis community.
The partnership represents an important step forward in LoveSetMatch’s mission to make tennis more accessible while creating clear pathways for growth, competition, and achievement.

“One of our goals has always been to remove barriers and create opportunities,” said Phillip “Coach PK” Kim, Executive Director of LoveSetMatch. “Many of the youth and families we serve are experiencing organized tennis for the very first time. Through our partnership with UTR Sports, our players will now have access to the same player development tools, ratings, and competitive opportunities available throughout the broader tennis ecosystem. This creates a bridge from community tennis to lifelong participation in the sport.”

Beginning in 2026, LoveSetMatch plans to host UTR-sanctioned events at select program locations throughout Los Angeles County, providing opportunities for beginners, intermediate players, and experienced competitors alike. Participants will have the chance to compete in level-based events designed to maximize match play, sportsmanship, and player development.

The new initiative will serve both juniors and adults, creating an inclusive environment where players can compete against others of similar ability while tracking their progress through official UTR Ratings.

The partnership aligns closely with LoveSetMatch’s commitment to serving underserved communities through affordable and accessible tennis programming. By bringing sanctioned competition directly into local parks and community spaces, more players will have the opportunity to experience organized competition without the traditional financial and logistical barriers often associated with tournament tennis.

In addition to tournament play, the partnership will support the growth of community leagues, structured match play opportunities, and player development pathways that can help participants pursue high school, collegiate, and lifelong tennis goals.

LoveSetMatch currently serves youth and families throughout Los Angeles County through its network of tennis and STEAM-based educational programs. The organization partners with LA County Parks and Recreation, schools, community organizations, and volunteers to provide instruction, mentorship, fitness, and educational enrichment opportunities.

“As we continue to grow, we want every player in our program to know there is a pathway for them,” added Kim. “Whether someone wants to play for fun, improve their fitness, compete in local events, or pursue collegiate tennis opportunities, this partnership helps us create that next step.”
