LoveSetMatch is honored to be featured by 4imprint’s one by one® program, which highlights organizations making a difference in their communities through meaningful, mission-driven work.
The new story, titled “Volunteer hats help build trust and visibility,” shines a light on how LoveSetMatch is using tennis, fitness, and STEM-based education to create opportunity for youth and families across Greater Los Angeles.
Through our partnership with Los Angeles County Parks & Recreation, LoveSetMatch provides free and donation-based tennis and wellness programs in local parks and schools, helping students build confidence, character, academic curiosity, and life skills. What started as a tennis academy has grown into a nonprofit movement powered by volunteers, coaches, families, and community partners who believe every child deserves access to opportunity.
The 4imprint one by one® grant provided LoveSetMatch with branded volunteer hats for coaches and team members serving directly on the court and in school programs. While the hats help protect our volunteers from the Southern California sun, their impact goes much deeper.
They help families clearly identify trained LoveSetMatch coaches. They create a professional and unified look for our volunteer team. Most importantly, they help build trust.
“When families see our coaches wearing the LoveSetMatch hat, we want them to know who is leading the class and that their children are in caring, trained, background-checked hands,” said Phillip Kim, Executive Director of LoveSetMatch. “That hat represents safety, service, and the standard of love we want every family to feel when they step onto the court.”
The feature also celebrates LoveSetMatch’s unique approach to youth development. Our programs combine tennis with STEM concepts like gravity, balance, rotation, force, and movement, helping students experience learning in a hands-on way. For many children, especially students from underserved communities or second-language learner backgrounds, sports can become a bridge to understanding complex classroom ideas with more confidence.
LoveSetMatch is deeply grateful to 4imprint for recognizing our work and investing in the volunteers who make this mission possible. Every coach, every volunteer, and every community partner helps us create safe, welcoming spaces where kids can learn, grow, move, and believe in themselves.
